COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
The department has concentrated our efforts on developing and improving our relationship with the community in order to make them cognizant of the various services we offer and improve our relationships with them. We are truly making an all out effort to expand our role in the city’s attempt to fulfill their promise of being a “Full Service, progressive Community”. We have initiated many new programs and have participated in a diverse number of community base activities in order to support our efforts to become a “customer service” oriented department. Our ultimate goal is to make the fire department the city’s most valuable asset and potent resource. Some of the programs and activities we participated in during 2009 included:
